Strings Club
In December 2021 William joined the Strings Club, an award-winning company providing holiday daycare camps for primary school children, as well as after-school clubs. As a Ukulele Course Leader, William is responsible for delivering the ukulele tuition at the Harborne Holiday Camps as well as at afterschool ukulele clubs Hallfield School, both in Birmingham. William's vast knowledge of primary school songs and beginner ukulele repertoire have been well received and much appreciated by students and staff alike, and is frequently consulted for advice regarding string teaching. Music To You
Since September 2014 William has been teaching primary school class music lessons, under the employment of Birmingham-based company "Music To You Ltd." Teaching specific curriculum-based learning, the taught material of these lessons centres around the current topics being learned, reinforcing them with relevant songs and music-making. Examples of these topics include the Victorians, Healthy Eating and the Weather. Percussion instruments are supplied to the school by the Music To You company. William's pianistic skills prove to be invaluable with sight-reading and accompanying for the school's song-learning and song practice sessions. He also runs school choirs, who learn an exciting variety of songs to perform throughout the year, and has also been Music Director for various school productions such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Alice in Wonderland, and Hey Ewe!

Cellist
William has played in numerous high-standard orchestras such as the CBSO Youth Orchestra. He studied with Jean Gubbins and David Smith. William was a member of the Farqhuar Cello Quartet which won at the National Chamber Music Competition for Schools in 2003. In the following year he led a Cello Trio and has since played in pit orchestras for musicals and operas, including Opera 74's production of Verdi's "La Traviata" in 2009. His most notable solo performance was Bruch's "Kol Nidrei" with the Sutton Coldfield Orchestra in 2004. William has been cello section coach for South Birmingham Sinfonia in 2015-2016, and continued to play the cello in the Amadeus Ensemble until 2018. Although he does not play the cello frequently as a soloist anymore, he is a founder and proud member of the Cello Fellows - group of cellists from around the Birmingham area. Since summer 2015 they have begun performing around the Midlands in concerts and school workshops, including bespoke concerts for Uffculme School, with the music arranged by William. William holds a Grade 7 Organ qualification with distinction. He has studied with Peter Irving, Marcus Huxley and Charles Janz. During his teenage years he played in several church services in the West Midlands including Solihull School's Chapel and St. Stephen's Church, Selly Park. At request, William has dusted off his organ shoes to perform at weddings at Aston Parish Church and St Andrew's Church, Handsworth.
